Connecting to a database file in SQL Express 2005
Modified By admin on 5/15/2006 2:59:04 PM)
Hi, how can I connect to a database file in SQL Express 2005? The NDO configuration dialog shows the old connection dialog, which doesn't allow to enter a file name as database source. I know, I could generate a connection string in VS and copy it into the NDO configuration dialog, but I wonder, if there is a better way of doing this. Regards C.N.

Re: Connecting to a database file in SQL Express 2005
Hi, just select your server name as usual (.\sqlexpress for Sql Express 2005). In the lower part of the dialog instead of a database name enter the path to the mdf file like C:\SQL SERVER 2000 SAMPLE DATABASES\PUBS.MDF Hope that helps! Greetings: Mirko
