Strong names and NDO enhancer
Modified By boriska on 11/9/2006 7:35:38 PM)
Hello Mirko, This issue occurs me on migrating one solution from NET 1.1 to 2.0. In VS 2003 you could use strong names - all you needed was putting into AssemblyInfo something like this : Assembly: AssemblyKeyFile("c:\la-la") . NDO 1.1 worked fine, I saw that the Ndo was disabled for compile time and build process run properly. In VS 2005 you can add a link to an extracted public key of a .snk-file and fill signing tab of project properties. This is very good described e.g. in MikeWo’s blog http://www.mvwood.com/blogs/blog/archive/2006/06/22/Adventures_in_Strong_Names_with_Enterprise_Library.aspx So did I, however when I compiled my project I got error: Can't load referenced Assembly “XXX.dll. Die Datei oder Assembly XXX.dll, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=666 oder eine Abh„ngigkeit davon wurde nicht gefunden. Fehler bei der Strong Name-šberprfung. (Ausnahme von HRESULT: 0x8013141A) NDO Enhancer What did I wrong? Best Regards, Boris

Re: Strong names and NDO enhancer

Hi Boris,

If you use the following settings for signing, it works. Certainly you can select an arbitrary file name.

Best Regards:
Mirko
